We are an Own Label Distributor that performs pharmaceutical research and development, and markets and distributes in the United States. We focus on a broad range of generic prescription products, in various dosage forms, covering a broad range of therapeutic categories. Akron takes pride in a special focus on generic pharmaceuticals producing a safe and effective alternative to brand name drugs. Generic medications are the same as the brand name drug in dosage form, safety, strength, route of administration, quality, performance characteristics, and intended use. Generic manufacturing and packaging sites must pass the same quality standards as the brand name drugs. Kumar Reddy
CEO
Kumar Reddy founded Akron Pharma in 2015 and today serves as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director. Also a founder of Akron Generics and AUM Pharmaceuticals, Reddy continues his focus on becoming a global leader in pharmaceutical manufacturing. His emphasis on globalization includes the creation of a diverse and inclusive work environment along with strong ethical values and corporate governance. Having owned multiple pharmacies and distribution companies, Reddy now owns and operates manufacturing facilities in the United States and abroad, giving him unique perspective in all areas of the industry. This vast experience is matched only by his hard work and desire to succeed.
Mr. Reddy has his Doctor of Pharmacy degree, master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
Matt Sabel
VP, Sales & Marketing
Matt Sabel brings nearly 30 years of industry experience in project management, domestic and international sales, marketing & business development to his role as Akron Pharma’s VP of Sales & Marketing. Prior to joining Akron, Matt held various leadership roles with Dentsply International, Patterson Dental, Henry Schein, Inc. and Geritrex. Over his career, he has led award-winning global teams in business development and program management.
Matt earned his bachelor’s degree in Sociology from UNC Wilmington and proudy served his country as US Army infantry officer.
